As a child, I have always been one of the fattest kids in my class. Because of my obesity, I gradually developed high blood pressure, cholesterol, and even triglyceride at a young age. I started out at a size 16 and weighing over 215 lbs. Since starting my diet and exercise with my dietitian Hazel Ng, I have gradually reduced my body to a size 10 and weighing about 165 lbs.

The greatest benefit about losing weight is getting good results from my annual physical exam. My blood reports no longer state that I have high cholesterol or triglyceride; most importantly, I'm no longer afraid of the numbers that appear on the blood pressure monitor. Secondly, shopping is also no longer a problem. I can try on any clothes with ease and the best is it looks good on me. Overall, losing weight is not hard; it just requires a little determination, discipline and effort.
